PALASH SEN DILLI MERI JAAN LAUNCH PIC

On Wednesday evening, chief minister Sheila Dikshit along with the band Euphoria and Palash's sister Dahlia Sen Oberoi, his son Kinshuk and daughter Kyne, finally released the Commonwealth Games anthem 'Dilli Meri Jaan'.
To everyone's surprise and the bandmates' delight, the CM also shook a leg for a few seconds after the performance of the band. But what's that buzz doing the rounds – the confusion over the anthem and the theme song. Whether the theme song for the the games is the one sung by Rahman or the one by Euphoria? On hearing the buzz, the CM fumed and asked, "What is the confusion? I fail to understand. Why can't you people get the difference?" She further added, "The theme song by Rahman is for the games only, whereas the anthem by Euphoria is for the games as well as for Delhi. It was made especially for Delhiites and will represent the city hereafter. 'Dilli Meri Jaan' is Delhi's anthem as well!"
When we spoke to Palash, he explained, "Since I am a Delhiite, I was asked to make a Delhi-centric song, the one that will lift the city's spirit. Plus, the authorities want to see the reaction of the people." Adds Palash, "Sheilaji will decide about its video based on the reaction of Delhiites." About the video, the CM says, "It will be out within 15 days or so."
